Features & Topography
Marsa Tondoba offers one of the most beginner-friendly underwater landscapes in the southern Red Sea. A soft sandy beach leads into a calm lagoon with shallow sandy areas ideal for buoyancy practice, dive courses, and relaxed exploration.
Across the bay, wide seagrass meadows stretch along the sandy bottom, attracting turtles and the rare dugong. Coral patches, hard coral clusters, and small bommies are scattered along the southern reef slope, providing shelter for many reef species.
The gentle depth progression and maximum depth of around 20 meters allow for long dives with excellent natural light and comfortable conditions throughout the site.
Its protected bay structure also makes Marsa Tondoba an excellent location for night dives and underwater photography.
