Marsa Assalaya, also known as Sharm Assalaya, is a shallow, protected bay located just south of Marsa Alam city. It’s one of the best shore diving and training sites in the area, perfect for beginner divers, snorkelers, and underwater photographers seeking calm waters and rich marine biodiversity.

Abu Ghusun (Hamada Wreck)

The Hamada Wreck, resting near the shore of Abu Ghusun, is one of the most popular shipwreck diving sites in Marsa Alam. This small but captivating vessel sank in 1993 and now rests peacefully on its starboard side in shallow waters, surrounded by vibrant coral life.

Located approximately 85 km south of Marsa Alam, the site offers a unique combination of wreck exploration and coral reef diving, making it suitable for alllevels, including snorkelers, beginner divers, and experienced wreck enthusiasts.
